Woodlands Primary School - first school in Angus to produce a Litter Prevention Action Plan.
Residents have been working with Woodlands Primary school in Carnoustie on an anti-littering initiative. A few weeks ago the children participated in a learning session about the damaging effects of litter and have subsequently produced a Litter Prevention Action Plan (LPAP) for the school. As part of the plan, children visited the local Access office and signed up for the Angus Adopt-A-Street scheme. All members of the Eco committee pledged to keep an area of the local park clean. Other activities identified in the LPAP include surveying litter, creating a small video, a poster competition and educating family and friends.
