We swapped gardening gloves and wellies for kilts and smart dresses last night as eleven residents attended a ceilidh in Carnoustie. The ceilidh was held to mark the 25th anniversary of the twinning association between Carnoustie and Maule. The people of Maule created these two panels in recognition of our historical connection on the occasion of our 800th anniversary in 2014. We were entertained by a great ceilidh band and enjoyed meeting members of the Mauloise group. Fortunately, one of our residents Gordon, speaks fluent french so he was able to translate for those of us who are not bilingual. It was a great night and a fitting occasion for this 25th anniversary celebration.
