Clean Europe Day - 10th May

Saturday 10th May is Clean Euope Day which fits well with the resolve of friends and residents of East Haven who are planning a beach clean and awareness raising event of all kinds of littering on Saturday from 2pm - 4pm.  Having signed the pledge with Clean up Scotland earlier this year, residents have organised a number of events aimed at improving the enviroment and reducing littering. Carnoustie Canine Capers, Green Dog Walkers initiative will join forces with residents on Saturday to encourage dog walkers to leave paw prints only in the Ha'en! Residents are also aware that the eyes of the world will be on Scotland later this summer as the Commenwealth Games come to Glasgow. The shooting events are being held locally in Barry so East Haven is supporting Angus Council in their committment to clean up Angus and ensure that the County looks it's best.

As an added incentive to encourage people to come along, there will be another opportunity for people to view the stunning display of Heritage Bunting which was recently exhibited in Carnoustie Library. Join us in the picnic area from 2pm to 4pm
