Ramsays, Crawfords, Vannets, McLaggans
We have had lots of people in the exhibition today armed with birth certaificates and other records of family members that they believe to belong to East Haven, Panbride, Scryne or West Haven. Doug Souter brought in a photograph of Jeck Mclaggan who was a Signal Man at East Haven around 1915. We have made mention of Bob and Nan McLaggan in our forthcoming book, 'Memories O' the Ha'en.
Gordon Crawford was also visiting the exhibition. He is the great, great, great grandson of John Crawford the very first Station Master in East Haven. What an amazing life John Crawford had after being press ganged into fighting in the Trafalgor War and losing an arm. Read more about John in our exhibition.
