Arbroath Military Wives Choir!
We are thrilled to learn that the Arbroath Military Wives Choir have indicated that they would be pleased to come along and sing at our event on 23rd August. We are acutely aware that 2014 also marks the 100th anniversary of World War and this really seems a fitting tribute to the many men who served and were either injured or died in this terrible war.
We will be displaying information at our Heritage Exhibition about some of the local men who served in World War 1. One such man was Private William Herd, 2nd Scots Guards aged 24 from East Haven who died in the first six months of the war. Craig Lyall has been able to provide us with information about William and his family and it will be a privellage to make this information more widely available at our ehibition both in April and at our event in August.
