When we consulted with people in the village about how they wanted to celebrate East Haven 800 a number of people suggested that it would be appropriate to plant a commemorative
Sandie Wright led discussions with
Angus Council to identify a suitable tree for planting in the landscaped area near to our large fishing boat. It was agreed that a medium sized tree, a Sorbus Aria Lutescens would provide a beautiful back drop to the boat, being silvery in leaf early
in the season, then turning more green and having a show of white flowers and red berries.
On the 8th November 2013, Angus Provost
Helen Oswald planted our commemorative tree marking the countdown to East Haven 800.
