Busy old week in the Ha'en!
It's been a busy old week in East Haven and not just onshore either! The water ways were also busy yesterday as can be seen by this photo of the oil rig as it made it's way in to Dundee. Quite a sight! Anyway, we've had four different meetings this week to discuss various aspects of our 2015 projects. One of our exciting new projects is the work which we will undertake to improve the head of the cycle path at the corner opposite Torrie Park. We intend to build a stone cairn and create a heritage interpretation board to provide more information about National Cycle Route 1. Another motiviation for building the stone cairn is that it will enable us to fix a donation box in it for the charity Mary's meals. Many people don't realise that this year is the 20th anniversary of National Cycle route 1 which runs through 8 different countries. I'm sure you will agree with me that the East Haven to Elliot stretch is the most scenic of the entire route. Consequently, we will hold an event in June to encourage people to 'get on their bikes' and cycle to East Haven. More about that in due course.
